The International Journal on E-Learning Practices (IJELP) (ISSN 2289 - 4926) is the latest flagship journal of Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). The journal was approved by the Vice-Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) on 22 July 2013. IJELP is the 12th journal of UMS since its establishment on 24 November 1994. The journal is managed by The Faculty of Psychology and Education (FPP), UMS (formerly known as The School of Education and Social Development (SESD)).

The IJELP is published biannually. The first issue (Volume 1, Issue 1), is scheduled to be published in January 2014. The second issue is scheduled to be rolled out in July 2014. Subsequent issues will be published in January and July every year. The journal aspires to be scopus-indexed after 6 periodic issues are published. IJELP is an online open access journal aimed at disseminating and sharing of e-learning practices to worldwide audience. Initial subscriptions to this journal is FREE.

IJELP publishes the very best empirical and multidisciplinary work on e-learning practices in Malaysia as well as other parts of the world, with a particularly emphasis on the region of South East Asia and Asia. IJELP accepts manuscripts in the area and sub-area of e-learning such as the following:

teaching with technology;  
learning technology;  
mobile learning;  
e-learning technology;  
multimedia-based learning;  
computer-assisted language learning (CALL);

All IJELP manuscripts should be prepared in ENGLISH only. The manuscript should be formatted for A4-size (210297 mm) paper (or select Portrait setting), using single spacing with the preferred type font being 11-point Times New Roman. The length of the manuscript should be between 8 12 pages, including tables, figures and references. All IJELP manuscripts should be submitted in Office 2007.docx format. If Office 2010 is used please save the file as Office 1997-2003 format to ensure backwards compatibility. The Editor-in-Chief reserves the right to reject any manuscripts that do not comply with the general format. All IJELP manuscripts must be e-mailed to the Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Lee Kean Wah (keanwah@gmail.com)  or Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Associate Professor Dr. Tan Choon Keong (cktanums@gmail.com) only. Once the manuscripts are received, the author needs to register online (login as Author at the top of this page; Password will be e-mailed by the Editor-in-Chief) in order for him to view comments by TWO Reviewers. Review results would be known one month after the official date of manuscript received. In order for the manuscript to be accepted for publication, proof of correction prepared in a form of correction table must be e-mailed to the Editor-in-Chief not later than 3 weeks after the author is officially notified by e-mail. Authors need not pay any publication or type-setting fees for accepted manuscripts.
